cis-Isomer of resveratrol (CAS 61434-67-1). Analytical standard / Research Use Only. Made to order.
cis-Resveratrol (CAS 61434-67-1, C₁₄H₁₂O₃, MW 228.24 g/mol) is the Z-isomer of resveratrol, formed by photoisomerization of the trans isomer under UV irradiation. First characterized as a photoproduct; occurs naturally in grapevine and other resveratrol-producing species alongside the trans form. The cis isomer differs in spatial configuration at the C2–C3 ethylenic bond, which alters antioxidant activity, receptor binding, and metabolic stability relative to trans-resveratrol. Both isomers co-occur in plant extracts and cell cultures; distinguishing them is necessary for accurate phytochemical quantification and stability studies.
Made to order. Submit an inquiry for synthesis scheduling, lot-specific documentation, and timing.
Store at −20°C, protected from light. Limit illumination during receipt, weighing, and transfer. Document exposure windows and storage conditions alongside analytical records.
